VOLUNTEER DAY 2009

If someone has already agreed to head up a project, their names are shown.  In addition, the Club will provide pizza and soft drinks, and we will have several pair of gloves on hand, if needed.  If you have a pair of gloves, please bring them.

 

If you would like to work on a specific project, please contact the project leader to let him/her know of your interest.  If you just want to help, contact a member of the Operations Committee.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Replace wood lattice skirt around volleyball pavilion and deck with vinyl lattice [Duncan Munro]

THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE – Lattice material and associated hardware

YOU NEED TO BRING – power and hand tools to cut and assemble new skirt

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Repair about 11 picnic table seats and tops [Duncan Munro]

THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE – Lumber and hardware

YOU NEED TO BRING – power cutting tools to cut old bolts, drill new holes and cut lumber as needed, hand tools to tighten bolts.

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Repair and repaint tractor shed – 3 sections of siding are coming apart, and the entire shed needs new paint [Duncan Munro]

THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE – Lumber, hardware and paint

YOU NEED TO BRING – Carpentry tools [there is no electric power at the shed], paint brushes, rollers and roller pans

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Refurbish parking lot [Frank Cockrell]

THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE – Patching material, sealant, and spreading tools

YOU NEED TO BRING – old sneakers [they will probably be ruined], gloves

Frank plans to finish part of this project before Volunteer Day.  Dan and the guards plan to re-stripe the parking area once the repairs and resealing are completed.  NOTE – the rain date for this project is Sunday, April 26.

THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE – Tiller, sprayer, weed killer

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Pick up trash and debris around property [Nikki Munro]

THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE – Trash bags

YOU NEED TO BRING – pick up sticks

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Scrape and paint shower stall in bath house [Nikki Munro]

THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE – paint, brushes, scrapers

YOU NEED TO BRING – drop cloths

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Clean offices and bathrooms [Nikki Munro]

THE CLUB WILL PROVIDE – Brooms and hoses

YOU NEED TO BRING – Extra brooms, etc. – light weight gloves

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Remove leaves and goose souvenirs from deck [Nikki Munro]

YOU NEED TO BRING – Extra [exterior] brooms

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION – Clean and prepare bulletin boards for summer [Alison Klump]  - This will be done at another time.
