Background - Horseshoe Pitching Information:

The popular CSC Horseshoe League will again continue this summer after its successful maiden season in 2008. Four refurbished regulation horseshoe pits and "set your own" practice and opponent game schedules attracted 20 Teams for doubles matches last summer. Official matches will be held primarily on Friday & Sunday evenings during the 2009 summer. However, League matches may be scheduled on any day during regular Pool hours upon mutual agreement of both Teams.

A Finals Tournament will be held the ;ast week of August to determine the League champion and 1st Runnerup. Terry Thomas will continue as League Commisioner and Frank Cockrell will coordinate pit maintenance needs, A minimal per person entry fee of $5.00 each will help maintain the pits and associared supplies/equipment. Official League matches will start on Friday, July 17, 2009. Also, adult Pool members may use the pits for pick-up or practice games on a "first come" basis so long as no League matches have been scheduled. All youth players (under 15 years old) must be accompanied by an adult while "pitching shoes."
